Flagstone’s newest catholic school is underway - discover St Bonaventure’s College

Momentum is building in Flagstone as construction progresses on St Bonaventure’s College, a new Catholic Prep to Year 12 school opening in 2026.

Following the official sod-turning ceremony earlier this year, attended by Apostolic Administrator of the Archdiocese Mark Coleridge and Brisbane Catholic Education’s Executive Director Dr Sally Towns - the vision for a vibrant, inclusive learning community is quickly becoming reality.

Led by Foundation Principal Anthony Elmore, the College will offer a seamless educational journey from Prep to Year 12 on one welcoming campus.

Master-planned for more than 1,800 students when all stages of development are completed, initial construction is progressing at an impressive pace.

“We’re creating purpose-built learning spaces that will support students with the state-of-the-art facilities they need to excel,” Mr Elmore shared.

“This College is more than just buildings—it’s a vision coming to life. From the library to a multipurpose sports hall, every element is designed with learning and community in mind.

“We’re proud to offer Outside School Hours Care through Catholic Early EdCare from day one, giving busy families the support they need and ensuring students are cared for in a safe, enriching environment before and after school.”

St Bonaventure’s is designed with families in mind, providing one school drop-off and a strong sense of belonging from the very first day.

An owned and operated bus will service Greenbank, New Beith, Covella, Everleigh, and The Lanes Estate, making access easier for families across the region.

With a commitment to affordable education, the College will deliver high-quality teaching and learning and genuine care, helping students grow with confidence and purpose.

Joining Mr Elmore is Foundation Head of College Nadia Galetto, whose nurturing leadership and focus on student wellbeing will help shape a school culture grounded in Franciscan values - service, peace and care.

The College is also supported by its Parish Priest Father Onyema Eloagu from Regents Park Parish.

Enrolments are now open for Prep to Year 3 and Year 7 in 2026, with future interest welcomed for all year levels.

Families are invited to drop into the enrolments office, attend an online information session, or meet the team at local shopping centre events – there are plenty of opportunities to discover what makes St Bonaventure’s College unique.
