The senior phase of learning in Queensland is an exciting and pivotal time for students as they prepare for their future. At St Bonaventure’s College we will offer a diverse range of subjects and vocational education and training (VET) options to cater to the varied interests and career aspirations of our students. Students will choose from General subjects, which prepare them for tertiary study, Applied subjects, and Certificate courses, which focus on practical skills and are ideal for those pursuing vocational pathways. Students will also be supported in accessing School-based Traineeships and School-based Apprenticeships.
Approximately 50% of senior students in Queensland access tertiary pathways directly after school using an Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR). At St Bonaventure’s College, students will be well-prepared for multiple and individualised pathways that will highlight our commitment to elevating the importance of a well-rounded education that includes both academic and vocational options.
St Bonaventure’s College is committed to offering multiple and flexible pathways to help students achieve their goals. In the Senior School students will access individualised Growth Coaching, which supports students in identifying their strengths, setting goals, and developing strategies to succeed. Flexible delivery options and personalised learning plans ensure that each student can tailor their education to their unique needs and aspirations.
Each student in the Senior School will participate in a Franciscan styled Service-Learning Program.
